Enjoy a unique stay in the heart of Eeyou Istchee Baie-James !

Your getaway begins at Hôtel Chibougamau, an emblematic place in the city, renowned for its warm welcome and service.

The next day, you will be invited to visit to the community of Oujé-Bougoumou (45 minute drive from Chibougamau) and enjoy a guided tour of the Aanischaaukamikw Cree Cultural Institute (ACCI). Founded on the preservation, maintenance, sharing, commemoration and practice of Cree culture to prevent it from disappearing forever, the institute is both a museum and an archival center, a library, a place of education, a cultural center and a virtual crossroads.

After your lunch (on your own), you will head to the FaunENord site itself, while a naturalist guide will be waiting to introduce you personally to various interpretive activities of the Nordic environment. You will then be invited to head to the brand new Maître Renard microbrewery – the only one in Jamésie! for a tasting of beers brewed on-site and prepared with tasty ingredients from the boreal forest harvested by FaunENord. On the program: visit of the brewing facilities and tasting of local beers.
